This is a journal of the design and construction of a single family house in the county of Rutland, UK according to Passivhaus principles, with the aim of certification.

Aside from being a record for my own use it aims to  provide a deposit of information and experience I’ve gathered for the use of anyone interested in low energy design and the Passivhaus as a means of achieving very low levels of energy consumption in buildings. In this way it is a less than adequate ‘thank you’ all the sources I have drawn on for my own learning.

I have also listed all those who are working on the project. Thank  you for the extra effort required to go beyond the normal to the new techniques required.
